i found that replace_file function throws an exception if the replaced_path doesn't exist.
that and other changes here in my dev branch with all the unit tests passing again:

oh i forgot to mention the mock test passes but the real test fails; allmydata.test.test_magic_folder.RealTest.test_alice_bob
