When uploading a file to one's client WUI what is the difference between Immutable and SDMF?

I vaguely remember the issue being explained somewhere on the site the first time I browsed it, but upon reexamining the FAQ I didn't see any explanation.

There are over six pages worth, which I'm not going to browse through, but the first page doesn't look like it contains the answer.

To close this ticket:

  • Change the text on the WUI to make it clear that "SDMF" and "MDMF" are mutables.
  • Do something to help users like elkingrey find out what is the effect of choosing one versus the other.

But what to do? Maybe the WUI should have a little question mark that says "What is this?" and when you hover or click it then it pops up some document describing the effect on the user of choosing immutable vs. mutable?
