The gateway already supports range requests, but currently that feature is accessible only via a command-line such as

curl --range 2451799-2451799 http://localhost/uri/URI:CHK:jwq3f6lkcioyxeuxlt3exlulqe:sccvpp27agfz32lqjghq2djaxetcuo7luko5dhrpdgs7bfidbasa:1:1:29153345

There is no way to download only a subset of the file with tahoe get. To close this ticket, add a --range feature to tahoe get.
