Brian's new [spans.py]source:src/allmydata/util/spans.py@4666 is used in a few places in Tahoe-LAFS. It is a general-purpose data structure that other Python programmers might want to use. Package it up and distribute it and announce it to them. One way to do this would be to put it into pyutil.

Don't forget test_spans.py and bench_spans.py.
